Lord, under compulsion you went into the wilderness to sort out the possibilities of your future.
Sometimes of our choosing, and sometimes because of circumstances we too go into a wilderness. Teach us to use such times to look at the direction and impact of our own lives. this Lent help us to learn to be more honest with ourselves , more generous to others and to appreciate more your help from our religious heritage.
